Assessment Details

Due to the personal nature of music lessons, we feel that it is very important to match the personality of the music teacher with that of the music student. This helps to ensure that the student feels relaxed during the lessons and can gain the most benefit from the tuition. Many of our students want to learn to play an instrument purely for pleasure, rather than following a structured formal route.

To enable us to do this, once an enquiry has been made by a potential student, we arrange an appointment for one of our team of assessors to meet them.

We do this to assess the type of tutor that would suit the student best, based on factors such as level of play, personality, classical or popular music preferences, geographical location etc. We supply music lessons throughout the London area.

We register the student with Musico at this point and immediately begin the process of selecting a tutor to match the student's requirements. This usually takes about a week to complete.

The assessment usually takes no longer than 45 minutes and is an informal chat, conducted in the comfort of the student's home.

Assessment Fee

Musico charges a one off fee of £45 for registration and assessment of the student. This is payable at the time of registration.
